After the Rain (film)

After the Rain is a 1999 Japanese and French drama film. The story is based on the last script written by Akira Kurosawa and is directed by his former assistant director of 28 years, Takashi Koizumi. It was chosen as Best Film at the Japan Academy Prize ceremony. After the Rain was Japan's official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 73rd Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

After the Rain (manga)

After the Rain is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Jun Mayuzuki. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine from June 2014 to November 2015, and later in Weekly Big Comic Spirits from January 2016 to March 2018. Its chapters were collected in ten tankōbon volumes. In North America, Vertical licensed the manga and published it in a five-volume omnibus edition from September 2018 to September 2019.

Rain

Rain or rainfall is a form of atmospheric precipitation composed of droplets of water aerosols that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and fall by gravity. Depending on the intensity, rain can be described as a drizzle, a shower, a cloudburst or a downpour. It is also often accompanied by other weather phenomena such as strong wind (rainstorm) and lightning (thunderstorm), and may be mixed with hail/ice pellet, snow (sleet) and sandstorm. Rain is a major component of the water cycle and is responsible for depositing most of the fresh water on Earth. It provides water for hydroelectric power plants, crop irrigation, and suitable conditions for many types of ecosystems.
