Infant

An infant is a very young human being. Baby is an alternative term for infant. The terms may also be used to refer to juvenile beings of other organisms. A newborn is, in mainstream use, an infant who is only hours, days, or weeks old; while in medical contexts, a newborn or neonate is an infant in the first 28 days after birth.
