Camping Tent

Camping

Camping is a form of outdoor recreation or outdoor education involving overnight stays with a basic temporary shelter such as a tent. Camping can also include a recreational vehicle, sheltered cabins, a permanent tent, a shelter such as a bivy or tarp, hammock, or no shelter at all. Typically, participants leave developed areas to spend time outdoors, in pursuit of activities providing them enjoyment or in a form of educational experience. Spending the night away from home distinguishes camping from day-tripping, picnicking, and other outdoor activities.

Tent

A tent is a type of shelter, generally consisting of sheets of fabric supported by a frame of poles. Smaller tents may be free-standing or attached to the ground, while large ones are usually anchored using guy ropes tied to stakes or tent pegs. They range in size from those for one person to sleep in up to huge circus tents. Tents for recreational camping fall into two categories: those that can be carried by backpackers and those usually transported in a vehicle. Camping tents can usually be assembled or disassembled in 5 to 25 minutes.
