Infrared Burn

Skin-reddening heat, the kind that leaves a mark.

#dd3333

Infrared Burn is a rich red.

It can be described as rich, strong, warm and fresh.

Set in black, because black reads best on it.

Infrared Burn

Infrared

Infrared radiation is electromagnetic radiation (EMR) with wavelengths longer than that of visible light but shorter than microwaves. The infrared spectral band begins with the waves that are just longer than those of red light, so IR is, per definition, invisible to the human eye. IR is generally understood to include wavelengths from around 780 nm (380 THz) to 1 mm (300 GHz). IR is commonly divided between longer-wavelength thermal IR, emitted from terrestrial sources, and shorter-wavelength IR, or near IR, part of the solar spectrum. Longer IR wavelengths (30–100 μm) are sometimes included as part of the terahertz radiation band. Almost all black-body radiation from objects near room temperature is in the IR band. As a form of EMR, IR carries energy and momentum, exerts radiation pressure, and has properties corresponding to both those of a wave and of a particle, the photon.

Burn

A burn is an injury to skin, or other tissues, caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, friction, or ionizing radiation. Most burns are thermal burns caused by contact with heat from hot fluids, solids, or fire. Burns occur mainly in the home or the workplace. In the home, risks are associated with domestic kitchens, including stoves, flames, and hot liquids. In the workplace, risks are associated with fire and chemical and electric burns. Alcoholism and smoking are other risk factors. Burns can also occur as a result of self-harm or violence between people (assault).
