Motion

In physics, motion is the change in position of an object or fluid with respect to a reference frame over a given time. Motion is mathematically described in terms of vector quantities such as displacement, velocity, acceleration, etc. The relative motion of an object with respect to an observer is the object's motion described in the observer's comoving frame, quantified in terms of relative position, relative velocity, etc. The branch of physics describing the motion of objects without reference to their cause is called kinematics, while the branch studying forces and their effect on motion is called dynamics.

Robot locomotion is the collective name for the various methods that robots use to transport themselves from place to place.

Locomotion (TV channel)

Locomotion was a Latin American cable channel dedicated to anime and animated shows targeting primarily an 18–35 audience, broadcasting movies, TV series and shorts. It was launched on November 4, 1996, and was closed down on July 31, 2005. It was also broadcast in Spain and Portugal through a dedicated Iberian feed launched on September 15, 1997. The feed was distributed through Cabovisão in Portugal and satellite television provider Vía Digital in Spain until July 1, 2003, when the service was discontinued.
