Nandi Bear

Nandi bear

The Nandi bear is a cryptid purported to live in East Africa. It takes its name from the Nandi people, who live in western Kenya, the area in which the Nandi bear has been reported. It is also known as Chemosit, Kerit, Koddoelo, Ngoloko, or Duba, which derives from the Arabic words dubb ('bear') or d.abʕ / d.abuʕ ('hyena'). The Samburu Nkampit also appears to be a version of this creature.

Bears are found on the continents of North America, South America, and Eurasia. Common characteristics of modern bears include large bodies with stocky legs, long snouts, small rounded ears, shaggy hair, plantigrade paws with five nonretractile claws, and short tails.
